Blackbird is developing IoT solutions in data collection and production monitoring. The idea behind Blackbird is to provide products and services that will reduce wasted resources within companies and improve how people live and work together. Products are developed in-house and inspired by key customers and top graduate students. The Blackbird platform is already in use in Europe, North America, and Asia🌎

Who are we looking for?

For the role of front-end developer, we are on the hunt for developers with a strong sense of design. Among other things, our front-end developer will be responsible for ensuring that web design and user experience needs are in harmony. You will be part of a cooperative, highly effective team and have the freedom to own projects from conception to completion.

We are a flexible group that enjoys working with people that are driven to achieve more. Therefore, don't be worried if you don't check off every single box in our everyday tools; as long as you have a desire to learn, we will help you get there!

A day in the life of a Frontend Software Developer💻

• You will write, review, and maintain code in React/TypeScript/MUI (w. JSS/Emotion) using tools such as Next.js, Cypress, and Storybook.

• You will collaborate closely with customers and colleagues to understand the problems we want to solve and explore how to solve them.

• You will work with a Pull Request-based workflow to implement new features to improve and expand the Blackbird platform.

• You will design solutions with your team to tackle engineering issues related to user experience, design choices, and customer feedback.

• You will work with a mentor to ensure that you thrive and develop professionally and personally.

·       You have a degree in Computer Science, Digital Design/UX, or similar equipment work experience.

·       You are experienced with UI/UX, from work or open source/hobby projects.

·       You are experienced with React/TypeScript/MUI.

·       You have a strong sense of product and an understanding of the human who is using it. You advocate for the user, with a keen eye for design.

·       You understand that building modern software is a team sport, and you enjoy working as part of a tight-knit team🤝

·       You adore learning new things, in your spare time you love researching new tech and driving forward with implementation details😍

What will be great to have?✨

• Familiarity with any of the following: serverless, microservices, GraphQL, CI/CD, Git.
